Chris Chiles joined Gods Pit Crew as Immediate Response Coordinate in August 2020. Before joining Gods Pit Crew, he has operated in a similar capacity within ministry for the last twelve years. Over time, Chris has been exposed to almost every kind of disaster and has personally led volunteer teams who have responded to 60+ events. In this capacity, Chris has been fortunate to experience glimpses of hope restored in people’s lives when his team meets their needs with compassion and no strings attached.
Chris was born in Richmond, Virginia and started his career in residential + commercial construction. in his role at Gods Pit Crew, Chris’ responsibilities include identifying opportunities in which to deploy to resources, training volunteers to properly complete their tasks, such as: properly assessing and working with impacted families, cutting dangerous trees, removing debris, tarping roofs, and moving water-damaged material out of homes. These are just a few of the major services Gods Pit Crew provides in times of devastation.

Over the last few years, natural disasters and the threat of major crisis has seemingly increased all over the United States and around the world. Daily, we’re bombarded with reports of impending severe weather, earthquakes, potential flooding, and the threat of terror attacks. In this type of environment, there is a need now more than ever for God’s people to not only respond but to be equipped and trained in the logistics associated with a disaster. God’s pit crew’s immediate response team is ready, trained, and prepared to respond.

Chris Chiles met Tim Ard back in 2014 when he attended a Forest Applications storm debris training in Rome GA. Tim and Chris struck up a friendship and continued to connect through various trainings until 2023 when Chris became a Legacy Instructor with Forest Apps. and began facilitating trainings all over the US.
Before joining God’s Pit Crew, he operated in a similar capacity within ministry for twelve years. In this capacity, Chris has been fortunate to experience glimpses of hope restored in people’s lives when his team meets their needs with compassion and no strings attached.
