In between trips...
Often we are asked: what do you do after a trip is over? We are constantly going through tools, equipment, and items that we need on any of our deployments. Our focus is to ensure that we are ready to serve when we are called out on a trip. Additionally, we receive and give out donated materials to those in need locally.
Honestly, it’s amazing how busy we stay each and every day. We are not satisfied with status quo either. If volunteers or leadership has given us feedback on improvements, we look for ways to be more efficient and effective.
Here are a few examples:
Every tool is looked at, serviced, tested, cleaned and loaded back in the trailer it belongs in.
We have a great team who inventories old items and new shipments so each volunteer has the amount of shirts we need for each trip.
We clean out our trailers from the last trip and sort through tools while putting them back where they belong in the warehouse.
Ms. Sharon, a faithful volunteer, has found her niche! She is literally cleaning every part of the tools making them look brand new…actually, even better than brand new!
Mike and Donna are experts at re-organizing and cleaning out our tool trailers to make sure everything is where it is supposed to be so we have exactly what we need on our trips.
John is busy modifying and creating an attachment for us to receive in flooring. It worked! Now, we have rolls of laminate and carpet ready to help out a lot of families!
We really appreciate your support. Its hard to capture all the good work and the spirit of the team who work so diligently to help our volunteers! We are thankful for everybody and most of all to God who sustains us and gives us gifts to use to further His Kingdom work!
